Emergency Support for Those at Risk During the COVID Crisis

The way the crisis has spread through Israel has amplified NIF’s unique role as a guarantor of equality and the protection of those most in need.

Today we are announcing three emergency grants to help those most affected by both the health and economic impact of COVID-19:

  • Distributing food, toiletries and other essential goods to refugees and people seeking asylum, many of whom have lost their jobs as restaurants, cafes and hotels have furloughed staff.
  • Making additional legal, psychological and social work resources available to people seeking asylum who are living in a new reality of lockdown and isolation.
  • Providing emergency medical assistance to refugees and people seeking asylum in Israel who don’t have access to national insurance healthcare.

These grants will be distributed to NIF's longstanding partners in the field, Physicians for Human Rights, ASSAF and the Hotline for Refugees and Migrants.

We know there is a lot of uncertainty as an end point to this crisis is not in sight.

But we also know, as steadfast supporters of NIF’s work, who share our commitment to tolerance, equality and safety in Israel, you may like to be part of this response to those most in need.

100% of funds donated through this page will go towards our emergency grants to help those most affected by the health and economic impact of COVID-19.

Donations over $2 are tax deductible!
